Our commitment

Nantucket Beverages™ is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of the craft — the same care we put into sourcing fruit and tuning a cocktail belongs in the way our site reads, navigates, and sounds to assistive technology. Improvements are ongoing, and we apply the relevant standards to every new page and component we ship.

Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines describe how to make web content more usable for people with visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, language, and neurological differences, as well as for visitors on slow networks, small screens, or older devices.

What we've built in

• Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) and ARIA only where semantics fall short.
• Logical heading order on every page so screen-reader users can skim by structure.
• Keyboard navigation across every interactive element, with a visible focus ring.
• Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA for body copy and interactive states.
• Text that scales to at least 200% without loss of content or function.
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful imagery and empty alt on decorative imagery.
• Form fields with associated labels, error text, and inline validation messages.
• Reduced-motion-friendly animations — large parallax and auto-playing motion are kept restrained.
• Tap targets sized for comfortable mobile use.

Compatibility

The site is designed and tested against the latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. It is built to work with common assistive technologies, including:

• VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
• NVDA and JAWS on Windows
• TalkBack on Android
• Browser zoom and operating-system text-scaling settings
• Voice control, switch access, and keyboard-only navigation

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to identify and resolve issues, with particular attention to:

• Older journal posts whose imagery predates our current alt-text standards.
• Embedded maps, where keyboard interaction relies on third-party behavior.
• PDF artwork, retailer leaflets, and other downloadable assets we did not author.

If something on the site is hard to use with your setup, please tell us — your report helps us prioritize the next round of fixes.

Third-party content

Some features rely on services we don't control, such as payment processing, embedded video, mapping, and social widgets. We pick partners that take accessibility seriously, but we cannot guarantee the conformance of content they serve directly. If a third-party experience is blocking you, let us know and we'll help find a workaround.

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of nantucketbeverages.com. Please include the page URL, the device and browser you used, the assistive technology if any, and a short description of what went wrong or what you expected to happen.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act, or with the relevant authority in your jurisdiction. For EU visitors, you may contact your national enforcement body for the EN 301 549 standard.
